Everyone associates Volvo with safety – and it’s a reputation we have earned over decades protecting peoples lives and which makes us very attractive as a partner (a perfect example is our collaboration with Uber). Volvo’s innovation in automotive safety is known and respected around the world, especially our achievements in crash safety. We will continue the development of these state-of-the-art innovations in the future, but now we’re also focusing on preventative safety and peace of mind in any driving conditions.

  • Our vision to provide 1 week quality time per-year through a new Volvo car by 2025

To us, Quality means to exceed the needs and expectations of our customers when they enjoy our products and services. We are committed to excellence in execution, and drive continuous improvements throughout all value chains. We understand Quality also as providing Quality of Life for our customers. By launching cars that can drive in autonomous mode at least parts of the trip, we allow the driver to do other things with her/his time. With an average communing time of 26 minutes per trip you gain back one week of quality of life per year when driving in autonomous mode.

  • All new Volvo models from 2019 will have an electric motor, marking the historic end of cars that only have an internal combustion engine. Our CMA and SPA platforms have been designed from the outset for electrification – a natural decision considering that environmental care has been part of our DNA for decades. Our committment to put 1.000.000 electrified cars on the roads by 2025 reinforces our purpose and credentials as a responsible car maker.
